India's Gameplan for POK

 

India's renewed interest on POK  was once again visible when the Defence Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh made a scathing remark about Pakistani Government's atrocious rule in POK region. He reminded unfinished task of amalgamation of the entire territory which was held illegally by Pakistan Government since October 26, 1947, when Raja Hari Singh, appealed to the then Indian Government led by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, and later on signed on dotted lines. But, the recent revelations by GOI Minister Kiran Rijiju drew more attention in the public and media both. What were the compelling situations that the then PM Nehru, didn't accede to the request of Raja Hari Singh, who wanted to join Indian Union in July 1947. Similarly, why the issue  was taken to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), when India claimed J&K & Laddakh as its territorial part and Sardar Patel was authorized to bring all princely states under Indian fold.

 Let us look back the following developments which were taken by the current dispensation , since 2014 (May)in that direction. 

a. The Indian Forces were asked to follow  "Zero tolerance" towards any cross border terrorism.

b. High tech surveillance on the Indo-Pak  borders - covering  porous, mountainous and riverine fronts. Such high tech gizmos were given to India by the Israel.

c. India had carried out surgical strike in response to Uri ( Air Force Station) attack and made it clear that today's India is a "NEW INDIA".

d. The Pakistanis got a befitting reply when Indian fighter planes carried out " BALAKOT STRIKE", getting deep inside the Pak Occupied Territory , claiming Indians are free to carry out operations in their own territory.

e. One must remember the statement of  former Defence Minister Late Manohar Parrikar, who had said, you have to "use thorn to pull out thorn". New tactics were used to control stone peltings and stone pelters in the Sri Nagar region, then hot bed of regular protests and stone peltings.

f. The "De-monetization" by the GOI, dried up the financial supply chain received from across the borders thus led to downfall in instances.

g. What people mostly don't remember that Indian Met department had started forecasting the weather on May 18 , covering its POK region of Gilgit, Baltistan & Muzaffarabad, on a regular basis, on its news channel, giving  credence to the claim of its region.

h. The present political situation of Pakistan is quite fluid and lots of protests already being made against the Pakistani Forces and the Government. The people of Baluchistan and POK have already requested the GOI to save its people from the atrocities of the Pakistani forces.

i. On top of it, China's "One Belt One Road", passes through the POK region and in no circumstances India will permit this to be given to China by Pakistan. and finally

j. India's return of Pilot - Wing Commander Abhinandan, conveys a  lot about asymettrical power prevailing between India and Pakistan.

Considering the above facts, it becomes quite obvious that  the "NEW INDIA" is quite pro-active, ready to take action and cherishes its sovereignty & territorial integirty , in "letter & Spirit". India's growing stature in the global affairs is being recognized by United nations and its member  198 countries. So, one can aver with confidence that India is committed  to regain its past glory and poised to emerge as  "AKHAND BHARAT"
